We believe that youth are not just the future of the church, but that they are an important part of the church today. Amazing Grace values students.
Junior High Students meet for Confirmation Classes regularly during the school year. These classes help students make more connections between their faith and daily lives.
Junior and Senior High Students gather periodically to address the unique interests, needs, and challenges of living as a Christian teen today.
The group has travelled on servant trips in recent years to Oakland, CA for an innercity mission and to the Yakama Nation in Toppenish, WA.
Camp opportunities are also a component of the youth program. Past years have included trips to Holden Village near Lake Chelan and a rafting trip on the Flathead River in Montana with a group from Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp.
In addition to these activities, youth are active in the life of the congregation. They assist with Vacation Bible School. They serve and clean up for Coffee Hour and special dinners. Youth participate in worship as readers, greeters, ushers, worship assistants, musicians, vocalists, and acolytes.
College Scholarships from Amazing Grace Endowment Committee Each summer scholarships are awarded to multiple students who are members of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church. Deadline is in the Spring. Application is attached below in pdf format.
